Discover the Magic of Wild Wisdom
Gentle, farm-rooted learning where children grow through hands-on wonder, connection, and real experiences on our Poulsbo homestead. Where the days are guided by the seasons and the pace is steady and intentional.
I provide learning for children (ages 7–12) in a nurturing, child-led space on our family farm in Poulsbo, Washington. Rooted in Montessori principles and the rhythms of the homestead, with a consistent small group of peers. Whether we’re reading beneath the trees, using nature to explore math, journaling beside the garden beds, or discovering animal stewardship, learning here is rooted in connection: to self, to the earth, and to the joy of discovery.
I believe that learning should feel natural, meaningful, and be full of embodied experiences: tending garden beds, caring for farm animals, exploring habitats, building with natural materials, cooking from the harvest, and reflecting through nature journaling and storytelling. Academics emerge naturally, math through measuring rows and composting ratios, science via life cycles and seasonal changes, language arts in observation notes and group shares, and social-emotional growth through kindness, responsibility, and community circles. Each child brings their own gifts, pace, and style of understanding. My role is to gently guide them, nurture their strengths, and help them move through challenges with confidence and grace.
This is learning at its gentlest: un-rushed days where bodies move freely, minds engage through curiosity, and hearts connect to the earth, animals, and each other. Limited to 6–10 children, to allow deep relationships, skill-building, and personalized attention in a safe, joyful environment. Much like tending to the soil, supporting a child’s growth takes patience, presence, and the right environment. It’s a quiet joy of mine to witness children light up when learning clicks and when they feel seen, heard, and capable.
If your child would benefit from this kind of care and support, I’d be honored to walk alongside your family.

Why Wild Wisdom?
In a world of fast-paced, screen-heavy education, this environment offers something rare and essential:
Unique on-farm assets—direct access to gardens for planting/harvesting, animals for gentle care and observation, diverse habitats for exploration, and a cozy classroom for weather-adapted reflection.
Ongoing community—the same small group builds trust, friendships, and progression (returning children take on leadership roles, newcomers ease in with support).
Lasting impact—families share stories of children who "want to keep coming forever," gaining confidence, kindness, sustainability awareness, and joy in learning.
Parents often say: "This is where my child truly blooms: moving their body, engaging their mind, and feeling deeply connected."

My child adores "Mrs. B" as Bryanna is fondly referred to in my house. She has always been kind, thoughtful, and wise as she helps us on this journey of learning and thinking outside the box when it comes to education. My son has been with her from 3rd grade (he is now in 6th) and he says he wants to keep going to farm school FOREVER. Many tears have been shed that he will eventually need to move on to make space so other families can work with Bryanna. And they will be so lucky to get the chance! These kids have the chance to be outside all day, moving their bodies and engaging their brains, learning kindness and community all at the same time. It's been nothing but a blessing for our family.

“We have had the opportunity to work with Bryanna as a family in a multitude of ways. My daughter has shared that she has learned the most with Bryanna as they are out in the garden tending to the earth and a life or a math lesson appears and Bryanna seizes those as beautiful embodied teaching moments. I appreciate how she includes the whole body, her experiential approach has been remarkable for my daughter. She retains much more and teaches me all the time!”
