DIY Chicken Harvest Workshop

from $75.00

Learn the Lost Skill of Harvesting Your Own Food — With Care, Respect, and Purpose

At Ameraucana Farms, every animal we raise is cared for with intention: fed healthy, organic ingredients free from toxins, given room to live naturally, and treated with respect from start to finish.

This hands-on workshop is for those who want to take part in the full circle of food production, from pasture to plate, while honoring the animal and learning a skill that our grandparents knew by heart.

What You’ll Learn

This isn’t just about processing a chicken, it’s about connection. You’ll gain the confidence and knowledge to harvest your own birds with skill, care, and gratitude.

We’ll guide you step-by-step through:

  • Humane Harvesting Practices — Ensuring the process is calm and respectful for the bird.

  • Safe & Sanitary Processing — Plucking, cleaning, and preparing your chicken for the table.

  • Cuts & Preservation — Breaking down a bird and packaging it for your freezer or fridge.

  • Using the Whole Bird — From bone broth to organ meats, nothing goes to waste.

  • Mindset & Ethics — Why gratitude, stewardship, and regenerative living matter.

Why This Matters

  • Healthier Food — Know exactly what went into raising your meat.

  • Self-Reliance — Skip the middleman and factory farms. This is food security you can create yourself.

  • Ancestral Wisdom — Keep alive a tradition that once sustained every homestead.

  • Deep Gratitude — Harvesting your own food changes the way you see every meal.
